Lewis County is located in the Northern Kentucky River Region, about 90 miles northeast of Lexington, 70 miles southeast of Cincinnati, OH and less than 50 miles west of Huntington, WV. Other nearby cities include Portsmouth, OH (pop. of about 35,000), and Maysville, KY (pop. of about 30,000).
